Student Leaders Promote Quality Physical Education
Ten members of our Erin School Fuel Up to Play 60 team took a field trip to Milwaukee on January 18, 2018. They partnered with the Wisconsin Health and Physical Education Association (WHPE) to do a presentation on the importance of quality physical education. This presentation was performed at the Wisconsin State School Board Convention, in an effort to inspire other school districts to provide best practices in their physical education programs. These ten students represented FUTP 60 and Erin School in an exemplary fashion, showing outstanding leadership and passion for healthy living. We are very proud of our FUTP 60 student leaders and the work they are doing in our school and around the state.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

Our 10 students partnered with 4 "SHAPE Teacher of the Year" physical education teachers to present at our state school board convention. Our team demonstrated, interacted, and shared their passion for quality physical education.

How did you accomplish your goals?

We accomplished this goal by connecting FUTP 60 with our state physical education organization (WHPE). This allowed our students to work with passionate and quality teachers who promote physical activity every day. Connecting these two organizations is a win-win for everyone!
