Physical Activity Participation

Our students have taken charge at recess and set up their own activities. They have done snow fort building, walk and talk around the "square", hula hoop contests, soccer or football or basketball shooting games or 4 square tournaments and ultimate challenges on the playground equipment, to name a few. They are happy and active!

How did you accomplish your goals?

I met with the students and asked them what they would like to see happen at recess. They provided the list, and I helped them get it started. They took it from there, with help from the recess clerks.
