Our student leadership team came up with the idea to start an exercise club at recess. "The Warrior Club" is what they are calling it. Students take turns coming up with their own workout and then lead it just like PE class. Students are involved in making up an obstacle course all over the recess play area and students are working cooperatively together, getting FIT!

How did students and adults work together as a team?

Adults are monitoring success of the exercise club and students are showing off their fitness skills at recess. A win-win situation!

How did you accomplish your goals?

Kids are excited to exercise on their own at recess because we have been learning about how exercise affects the body and its great benefits.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

Incentives such as student leaders getting to share their workout that they developed and then practicing the exercise routine in PE.
