My student ambassadors took the initiative to set up PA and brain breaks with various classroom teachers in our building. They set up times to come into the classroom setting and lead a physical activity and brain break activity.
How did students and adults work together as a team?
The students wanted to incorporate themselves into the PA breaks and brain breaks. They worked with me and then set their own schedule with other adults in the building so that they could go into their classrooms and lead the breaks.
How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?
Challenging to keep it going due to timing and their schedules. However, we could divide them up and teach others so that they can go into the classrooms anytime a teacher would want one. We could set up a google document to sign up.
How did you accomplish your goals?
Students wanted to get involved to promote wellness. I want the students to learn how to advocate for wellness so this was a perfect way for that to happen!
