Community Involvement,  Physical Activity Participation

Students and staff from PTMS recently participated in the Olathe Charities 5k. The students practiced at school and logged miles that they ran. They finished up their miles by running the 5k. Proceeds from each person who ran for PTMS went back to Pioneer Trail. This money will be used to help students in need at our school.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

We plan to do this again next year. We will try and have the cross country team participate and host after school running practices for students who wish to participate.

What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?

Lots of our students are unable to afford the entrance fee for the race. We may ask businesses in the community for donations so these students can participate in the race.
