Physical Activity Participation

We enrolled in the program and received our flag football equipment! Our classes learned about how to use the flags in class and are now enjoying them every day.

How did you accomplish your goals?

We applied for and got the flags and balls and students were super excited - took a few days in class to teach them how they work and how to play safely and then got the flags distributed for students to play!

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

The flags and balls are now a part of our school. They will be used during recess - before- and after-school programs have access and in class when needed. This equipment will be maintained by staff and students will have access for years to come.

What improvements have you seen at your school?

As we expected, the flags provided students with a safer alternative to playing touch football on the playground. It has provided the students in grades 3-5 an opportunity to demonstrate responsible use of the equipment. So far it has been great!
