Recess Refresh — It's Not so Elementary!

Our high school team offered an opportunity for our students to sign up a team for a dodgeball tournament during their study hall time. The students on teams had to be in good academic standing and be caught up with homework in order to participate. The teams had a great time and the winners will receive a pizza party featuring real Wisconsin cheese!

How did students and adults work together as a team?

The team had to work with administration to obtain approval for this program.

What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?

Finding gym space and coordinating with other things going on in the building was a challenge, but the team did great with planning!

What improvements have you seen at your school?

Students that signed up were working their tales off to get their grades up so they could play! Teachers mentioned on several occasions how awesome it was to motivate the students to do their homework:)
