It all starts with teaching. It all starts with awareness. It all starts with creating an interest. It all starts with knowledge. It all starts with learning. It all starts with putting it to practice. It all starts with creating a habit. It all starts with becoming a routine. It all starts for the benefit of the most important commodity.....the children.
How did students and adults work together as a team?
Success stories stem from preparation. Success is becoming comfortable presenting a lesson. The presentation is verbal, offers an important concept of movement skills, entertaining, knowledge-based and simplistic and understood. Success is the knowledge. Success is the great desire for active fun and fitness. From Physical Education to messages shared by staff, weekly announcements and our Physical Education footnote to bond the teaching and learning creates ongoing awareness and communication.
How did you accomplish your goals?
Seeing my students listen intently, or logically, with a few redirections. Seeing my students follow directions. Seeing my students perform. Listening to my students retell and share a story with other students, teachers, and at home with family anchors the knowledge and increases their excitement and learning. And, of course, mine as well. Success is the students wanting more.
