The FUTP 60 team and 4th grade students worked together to write, practice, and perform a play for parents and other students in the school called “Nutrition Mission.” In this play, the students highlighted the food groups and the importance of a balanced and nutritious diet. The FUTP 60 team went on to have a smoothie sale each Tuesday in March to raise money for a much-needed new piece of playground equipment. The sale was extremely successful raising, several hundred dollars and increasing the popularity of smoothies enormously with our students. #FUTP60 #FUELGREATNESS

How did students and adults work together as a team?

The students worked together with the program advisor to write, practice, and perform the play. They worked with kitchen staff, our school secretary, and the program advisor to set up the smoothie sale. It truly was a team effort.
