Community Involvement

The GRHS team joined with a local family to support a "Sum Run" for the community. They had a race with stations to stop at and draw a number. After the race, participants added up their totals and reported their score. Prizes donated by the community were given out to all participants. There were over 250 people (children, parents, families) that came out and supported the run. The local family wanted to raise awareness about MS and thought that having the FUTP 60 team's involvement would be great. The day was beautiful and there were plenty of healthy snacks donated by local businesses. After the run was over, everyone wanted to stay and play. There were Frisbees flying, soccer balls kicking, and footballs thrown. It was a great community play day in Green River, WY.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

The students and adults worked very well together. All ideas from the students were listened to and implemented with great success.
