As a Program Advisor, nothing makes me happier than having my school and students rewarded for their efforts by Fuel Up to Play 60! This past December, I couldn't have been prouder to hear that my previous student and Fuel Up to Play 60 Student Ambassador received the reward of a lifetime! A trip to Super Bowl LII! Jessica participated in FUTP 60 activities as a 6th and 7th grader. In 8th grade she excelled as a leader and Fuel Up to Play 60 Ambassador! We celebrated by giving Jessica a Super Bowl send off and Family Fitness Zumba night. The Washington State Dairy Council joined us and we had nearly 200 participants!

How did students and adults work together as a team?

Current Fuel Up to Play 60 leaders at Frontier Middle School helped with all aspects of promotion and attendance. Jessica worked with her new Program Advisor and promoted at Moses Lake High School. Frontier Middle School leaders worked with the WA State Dairy Council when they arrived to supervise the human powered cell phone and smoothie bicycle.

How did you accomplish your goals?

Lots of teamwork, planning and promotion!

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

It has become a tradition to have guest Fitness Instructors from the community come to our school and teach classes for our Fuel Up to Play 60 Family Fitness nights. We have had Zumba, Yoga and Cross Fit.
