Access to Healthy Foods

Our entire school participated in monthly taste testing of different veggies! They were able to try turnips, asparagus, brussells sprouts, and they loved kale.

What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?

The challenges are always in getting the students to try new things. We worked with the dietitians who incorporated the new foods into the hot lunches that were served. They did a remarkable job in creating some wonderful recipes that were kid friendly.
