Super Stallions
We at Steele had a great time starting our SWAT team for the Fuel Up to Play 60 program! Students were able to get their feet wet in learning about healthy eating and physical activity. We learned many new types of in-class activity breaks and all teachers at our school have tried new ones and have been using them all year in the classroom! It is great to see it be used school wide. We also ended the year with a school wide Water Day which had many physical activity games and the kids had a blast! We are excited to see what next year has in store for us!

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

We plan to keep our teachers and staff informed on any new ideas for in-class activity breaks. We want to share the knowledge we gain and constantly be looking for new opportunities for being active and healthy.

What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?

A challenge we faced was starting the program towards the end of the school year. This made it a little challenging for us to come together, organize and prepare.
