The FUTP 60 team from Montessori at Franklin were asked to taste-test two new foods to see which one would be added to the lunch menu. The students loved getting to try the new foods and gave positive feedback for both test items. As a result, BOTH of the new foods were added to the lunch menu for the following month.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

Tasting new foods is always a good way to get student involvement. If the students see that the food being offered is something they have picked out and tried before, it will encourage them to eat the healthy lunch that is offered by the school. Any time one of these new foods comes on the menu and another student isn't sure if it will taste good or not, we have a group of students who can reassure them that it will. Encouraging students to eat healthy is a lifetime habit!
