Taylor Tigers Kickoff

The Murrell Taylor Fuel Up to Play 60 Team leaders had a successful kickoff the past 2 weeks. The team created a schedule where they were able to visit every classroom in the school. They stayed in each classroom for about 10 minutes. The team explained the program to students and then had them do a few exercises to show them how being more active can be fun. All classrooms were appreciative and thanked the team for coming. Some classes had already started getting their miles for the Physical Activity Play, The 100 Mile Club!

How did students and adults work together as a team?

Students and adults worked together as a team in planning the kickoff. The teachers were very cooperative with the schedule and were just as excited about the Plays as the students.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

We plan to make both of our Plays last during this school year and other years to come by continuing to get the word out and get everyone involved. As long as the program is fun and interesting, students are more interested in being a part of the program.
