Physical Activity Participation

Our School has a Mileage Club Course that students can participate in during their recess. There are several school-wide incentives including extra PE days and a Mileage Club Shirt after 25 miles. The miles are optional; however, some teachers really like to encourage their classrooms to participate. I have one class whose students each completed 25 miles in less than 3 months (during recess) and several teachers who now have 100% participation. They love the extra PE time, and earning the shirt is great advertisement!

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

We will do something similar next year.

Other teachers see the benefits of their students participation.
