The students that are on the SNAC committee researched each food group and answered these three questions. 1. Why are these foods important? 2. What do these foods provide our bodies? 3. What foods are in this group? After research, we discussed findings and planned our teaching. Each person on the SNAC committee and myself went to each classroom, (K-5) and taught the lessons. We got each student involved and incorporated the food groups into choices made daily while at school for breakfast and lunch. This was a wonderful experience and everyone learned so much!

How did students and adults work together as a team?

This took time for each student on the SNAC committee and myself tor put lessons together. We worked with each teacher on scheduling times for teaching.

How did you accomplish your goals?

We worked as a team and accomplished our goal of teaching all students over a 5 week period

What improvements have you seen at your school?

We have seen great improvement with student selections while eating at school and making healthier choices.
