I am lucky to meet with 20 committed FUTP 60 students each week for 20 minutes. That may not seem like a lot of time, but it has been incredible to see what these students have accomplished. Today was a good example of this. We talked about the 100 Mile Club sign-up and how we promote it. They found out the famous Lambeau Field is 75 miles from school. It would be 100 miles if we started in Milwaukee. Since they would all love to attend a Packers game or go to the Hudson Center (the Packers' work out facility), they have set that as a goal. One of the ways was by developing "Walking Wednesdays." And the cool part is that the whole time they were talking and planning, several students were just doing circle laps in the classroom! Walk and Talk huddle meetings - I love it!

How did students and adults work together as a team?

It is incredible to see the collaboration in this 20-minute huddle session! Two students quickly came with an idea to talk with the principal and two more came up with the idea to go get a poster board for sign-up.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

We are going to give the first Wednesday a try. Students will be more apt to commit themselves to more Wednesdays if they can get their friends to do it!

What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?

We will see if this is something the students commit to!
