Access to Healthy Foods

During the months of April and May, many students at Westside Elementary School had an opportunity to learn about the dairy group and the importance of getting 3 or more servings every day. TEAM We Kidz Crew helped whip up some yummy smoothies using dairy and fruit products. The taste test was a success! The Milk Mustaches on everyone's face were so fun and cute also! A final message sent to the students was to try the smoothies at home in the summer when you need a healthy and cool drink while enjoying the heat!

How did students and adults work together as a team?

The TEAM WE Kidz crew and the Adult Crew planned together and executed the play with created lots of excitement around the events. The students always love when the see the FUTP 60 tablecloth and set up coming!

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

TEAM WE always encourages the students to go home and "try the at home" with permission of course! "Get stronger" with the dairy group is a message we try to get out to the students.
