Community Involvement

Merrill Middle School recently had a food drive. All of the first period classes participated in a contest against each other to raise awareness donate food for the local food pantry. Merrill alone raised almost 2000 lbs. of food for the organization.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

Teachers competed against each other to get the students to bring in food. Canned and boxed items were brought in for a competition between classes. The real winner was the local food pantry.
