Access to Healthy Foods

PowerPoint of a month-long contest in November was charted on the white board in the lunch room.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

They encouraged each other to bring in what would be selected and a picture taken of the days healthiest lunch for each grade level for a month.

How did you accomplish your goals?

Yes, the students are asking if we will be having the contest again. They are bringing in a healthy lunch in hopes of being selected to be have the best of the day.

What improvements have you seen at your school?

Students are selecting healthy choices or are aware of when they are eating an unhealthy choice (they hide it when I walk through the lunch room)!
