Our success story is like a sports like fairy tale that had a happy ending. We began to introduce the students to something none of them have done--golf! Of course students were hesitant but by telling the kids to compare it to getting a new video game and they all said they would be happy to try it. Now I got them to see golf as a video game and by completing the levels (skills), they could beat the game. This eye opening discovery made them ready to try new things and we will continue to use real life experiences to keep kids motivated.

What improvements have you seen at your school?

I have seen students have a better attitude about physical activity and become leaders amongst their peers. Students seem to have more self esteem with the gained knowledge. Self motivation has become apparent and students want to eat healthy and exercise with their families.
