Our school is a rural school, with few sources for breakfast from outside the school. Yet, we had poor participation. We chose to focus on breakfast and have a "Grab and Go"  in the classrooms and main hallway for our high school students. Immediately, the participation picked up. We are 100% free meals, so keeping tabs on the data was easy for us. The students just keep saying "I Love It!!"

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

The equipment that we purchased will allow us to continue our "Grab and Go" program. I don't think the students would be happy if we stopped. The added meals have helped our budget also.

How did you accomplish your goals?

We had a Wellness Committee that worked with our changes, but we relied more on the cafeteria staff.

What improvements have you seen at your school?

According to the principal and head office staff, students are more focused with fewer distractions in the morning
