In my elementary PE class, I have up to 95 students per class in a small gym. I have tried numerous ways/ideas to motivate students to participate. We do a lot of station work according to the numbers. I have come up with the 3 Levels of Success to tackle the "I can't do it!" kids to the "I can't do it yet" kids. Each station has 3 levels: doing my best, continuing my perfection skills, and practice makes perfect. Each station has different wording for the 3 steps. I have seen a big difference in my gym just with confidence, motivation and teamwork.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

I will continue motivating my students and thinking outside the box to help them reach their potential.

What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?

The challenges that I faced before I changed the way that I conducted stations was: constant sick notes, the pouty, "I can't do it" attitudes, the wanting to sit out on the wall during PE.
