Community Involvement,  Physical Activity Participation

The entire school participates in a run/walk program every Friday during the school day. Students earn tokens for every five miles completed, mileage shirts for every 50 miles, and a variety of other awards at the end-of-year celebration.

What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?

Funding. We do fundraising, we receive support from our PFA, and we receive support from the local Florida Striders club.

What improvements have you seen at your school?

There is more involvement in the community. Parents and students regularly participate in community runs.
