The members of the Live Life Healthy Student Board did a quick kitchen that celebrated the avocado. We used the leftover avocados from making guacamole to make avocado toast. We had over 100 students taste the toast and take home the recipe. The avocado was also the Florida Harvest of the Month in September,
How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?
The members of the Live Life Healthy club use the Florida Harvest of the Month to develop a healthy and easy recipe to make during lunch and let our students sample it. They do it every month during the school year.
How did you accomplish your goals?
We had over 100 students taste the toast and take home the recipe.
What improvements have you seen at your school?
We see students making better selections for themselves at lunch and packing healthier lunches.
