TNT Taste and Talk Taste Testing
Taste and Talk "TNT" we were able to try a new item called Apple Pie Over Night Oats. Made in variety of ways, yogurt, milk and soy milk (for students who can not have dairy). After providing samples to staff and students, a survey was completed asking if they like it or not. The overwhelming response was of liking it, so this will be come a menu item! A few comments: "It taste like apple pie"; "I like the apples and cinnamon on top of the oats" The FUTP 60 team provided menus for students and staff to take home.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

Student set up a meeting with our food service director and chef and planned to have the Apple Pie Overnight Oats. Students mapped out a work crew for all lunches PRE K-8th grade and worked with staff in the food service. Meeting sessions focused on setting an attractive spot to gain interest.

How did you accomplish your goals?

We set up our station and served students and then did a survey of adults and students feed back to see if item should be part of a regular menu rotation. Overwhelming response and now item has become an item on the regular breakfast menu.

How did you accomplish your goals?

With support from our food service company, the success was great! We are now considered partners in bringing great food items to students and staff in our building.
