Tropical Fruits for Summer Enjoyment
This being our first year and not beginning the program until April, my sixth grade students stepped up and put together a taste test for both lunches. Students participating in the taste test had to fill out at form identifying if they liked, disliked, or was it the first time they had tried it. It was a success!

What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?

Challenges were that we got started late in the year and we only had 6th grade participation. We called it "home grown." The sixth grade team is eager to train the new sixth grade students coming to our school 2016-2017. With the first school wide function we were able to get the upper grades more familiar with the program.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

The students worked well together and were committed to spending an hour once a week after school to put our plan together and preparing for the next year.

How did you accomplish your goals?

We accomplished our goals by working together as a team.
