Truman Mini-Basketball Tournament
Students participated in a mini-basketball tournament coached by 4 staff members. The students had a chance to practice at least once a week for 3 weeks before the tournament. On the day of the tournament, students were able to perform and play in front of their entire student body. The coaches, along with the principal, officiated the game and kept record of score and time. During half-time, the cheerleaders and dance team were given an opportunity to perform as well. Some of their routines involved students from the crowd, from Kinder to 5th graders. The students and staff had a blast!

How did students and adults work together as a team?

The students were coached by the staff and had a few weeks to work together as a team before the actual tournament. In between games as well, teachers had an opportunity to participate in a friendly shoot-out competition against each other. The students really enjoyed seeing the adults get involved.
