Physical Activity Participation

80 participants made up eight teams of ten to play flag football on our half day of school prior to Thanksgiving. We played ten-minute games and each team was guaranteed four games. Based on the standings, we continued with a round-robin tournament with a single elimination.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

Eight staff members shared the responsibilities of refereeing, supervising teams, and photographing the games.

How did you accomplish your goals?

We had 80 physically active students engaged in fun exercise for 90 minutes. It was a great success and we can't wait until next year. This was our 6th annual Turkey Bowl!
