Murchison Elementary’s Student Leadership Team kicked off our 10th year of participation with a yogurt recipe contest entry. The Team started with a yogurt base, added a crunchy grape (head) supported by crispy pretzels (neck) and added delicious apples for tail feathers. The result was named Turkey Gobblers Yogurt Treat and earned an 8-Thumbs-Up rating from the judges. All who tried the Turkey Gobblers Yogurt Treat agreed they would fit on everyone’s Thanksgiving table.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

Students devised the recipe, asked the District Food Services Director for help with the ingredients, served the judges and left no trace in the Cafe. Everyone was a winner!
