Turkey Hunt

Kristie Kuhse,   Waverly-shell Rock Middle School

Student Ambassadors created paper turkeys. The designs were hidden throughout the building and the students were encouraged to hunt for the turkeys.

How did you accomplish your goals?

The Student Ambassadors wanted to organize a contest for November. They decided to hide turkeys throughout the building before Thanksgiving break. Students that found the turkeys could turn them in for a prize.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

The Ambassadors found a turkey graphic. We printed four different colors of turkeys. They set up the prize system based on the color of turkey and the prize students would win. The Ambassadors came in early and hid the turkeys in the building.

What improvements have you seen at your school?

This was a fun contest. Students were determined to find turkeys and even asked to stay after school to continue the Turkey Hunt. This was a fun way to promote turkeys and a great tie into Thanksgiving.
