In our PE classes, we sometimes have kids who are injured and because of medical restrictions are unable to play the game or sport we are teaching. We have started to use the FUTP 60 Challenges to get these kids involved in physical activities and healthy choices. The kids have to log into their accounts and choose which Challenge they will complete for the days/week they are out of commission. Then they must perform this Challenge and show the teacher proof they have completed it. We have had great responses from other teachers and parents stating that their student has "challenged" them to make healthier choices in eating for the week or challenged them to get more pedometer-measured steps during that time. These kids are great about taking on these FUTP 60 Challenges!!

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

This plan has worked well with ALL of our kids, but using FUTP 60 with our injured students has really helped them see how easy it is to make healthy choices. We will keep this going all year as a way to keep our injured students involved.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

Students challenged other adults and a few of the students have "teamed up" with teachers to challenge other duos in the 10,000 steps challenge.
