Valley City High School's FUTP 60 team partnered with Washington Elementary's FUTP 60 team to work in collaboration and assist with their first kickoff event. Advisors met along with team leaders to plan the event. In the past, we have promoted milk instead of candy. This year’s theme was promoting physical activity, which was a huge hit with the crowd.

What improvements have you seen at your school?

Our programs have worked together on two events for this school year, and we do not have any data to quantify changes that have occurred, but we've seen increased participation in both schools in our FUTP60 events.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

VCHS team members took an important role in leading this event. They worked together with Washington’s team to plan, set up, and handout FUTP 60 merchandise.

What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?

We did not have any challenges implementing this event. Everything worked out just as we planned it, and our team is excited to work with Washington Elementary again next year, or possibly another school.
