Here at Oakdale Elementary, we have started a Walking Club for any student who wants to join. Our students eat a healthy breakfast that is provided by our cafeteria workers first, then the students who are signed up for Walking Club can go to the gym and enjoy listening to music and walking. Some days, our students listen to music and perform various exercises that are given. Students love the exercises and the walking . Our school only does Walking Club 2 days a week, but we will be extending it to 3 days once we can get more Student Ambassadors and teachers to help out.

What improvements have you seen at your school?

Being the P.E. Teacher, I have noticed the students who are in Walking Club are the students who are in better shape. I am trying to help encourage students to sign up for Walking Club. "Stronger body, stronger mind".
