Physical Activity Participation

South Union students and staff walked for one mile to promote healthy activities. We had 100% student participation and 32% staff participation. It was a beautiful day to be outside with music playing to set the pace.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

The staff at South Union worked together to make this event a success. The Arts and Wellness Team was out in force to monitor and encourage student progress.

How did you accomplish your goals?

South Union worked together to accomplish this by having each section of each grade level walk together during their Arts and Wellness time, therefore ensuring 100% student participation.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

South Union has joined a "Kids Stride" program that meets once a week after school to promote walking as a healthy activity.
