We began our 100 Mile Club in October 2015. Our upper elementary students have been participating for the past 5 months. We have had great success. They have encouraged each other along the way to meet their goals. Our top student is a third grader and has completed 80 miles with 3 months left to go. All 122 students have enjoyed this challenge and look forward to meeting their goal of 100 miles this school year.  We hope others will start their own 100 Mile Club and see how rewarding it can be.

How did you accomplish your goals?

We set aside time during PE class to walk or run each day to meet their own personal goals.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

The students cooperated with the teachers and encouraged each other each and every day.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

Setting time aside each day until the end of the school year will help them reach their goal of 100 miles.
