This year's FUTP 60 team has been busy, busy, busy! Every Friday, two FUTP 60 members lead the entire school in physical activity breaks throughout the school day. Not only are students staying active throughout the day, the entire school is also learning more about what it means to be a Fuel Up to Play 60 kid! Students are getting a better understanding of different "exercises" they can do to have more fun while moving! Our cafeteria menu is also improving, with more choices in each food group selection. Now, students don't have to just have milk as their dairy choice. They can also choose from a cheese stick or yogurt to receive their healthy dairy nutrients!!! WAEC loves FUTP60!!!

How did students and adults work together as a team?

Students are the leaders and the FUTP 60 advisor just does the "adult stuff". Students are in charge of creating exercise routines and asking for feedback from other students about what exercises are successful and most enjoyable. Our cafeteria staff has also agreed to allow our FUTP 60 team to design 2-3 menu day choices with new, improved, and healthier ones! We will start that after the New Year.
