Students in all grades participated in our poster contest and also our "Got Milk" program. This year was a tough one because we were without a contract and not permitted to do any outside programs. Contracted settled and now looking forward to next year, when we can become more involved. Also participated in the 100 Mile program during PE class. Students received a small charm for each mile they walked, jogged or ran.
What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?
WE were able to participate in PE class in the 100 Mile Club. Students also participated in the Got Milk program during lunch and poster contest was done at home. Being without a contract made this year very hard on teachers to really get involved. Had to stick to Union rules during the time w/o contract. Finally settled and now able to immerse students till the end of year and next year starting off right from the beginning of school year.
How did you accomplish your goals?
Yes, we accomplished our goals even though we were working without a contract.
How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?
Students seem to really like the poster contest we ran. They enjoy drawing and letting everyone know how important PE and activity is to them.
