Our school has been participating in a program called Walk Across Texas and they have accumulated over 1,000 miles. Our run club is as big as ever, as well. We have over 100 students that participate in our running club on Tuesdays & Thursdays. When our school district has runs on the weekend, our students show up and get their parents involved. It's been really exciting to see the parents join in in our school's running club.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

We keep encouraging students to strive and to do their best as they are running to complete laps and miles.

What improvements have you seen at your school?

The students that are involved with run club are spreading the word to their peers, and that is encouraging others to try out.

What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?

Too many students wanting to join run club was our biggest challenge, but we asked for more parent volunteers and things have gotten better.
