We'll Lead the Way
At the beginning of the school year, several 5th grade students took a challenge to set up cones outside every morning and pick them up every afternoon without being reminded. The cones are placed in a large rectangular shape to represent a track. 6 1/2 times around the cones was measured to be a mile. Students and staff are encouraged to go out to our makeshift track to get exercise. At recess, the students love the challenge of running together in order to get fit. The girls running club uses them daily to work toward their distance goals! These students that took that challenge of setting up and taking down the track understand the difference they're making, and that's why they make it such a priority.

What improvements have you seen at your school?

The daily act of the boys setting up the cones serves as a reminder to our students to get out there and RUN!
