Wellness Council Kicks off Year with Peace Festival

Our school hosted a Peace Festival for students and families during the first month of school. Our Wellness Council had a booth at the festival where we handed out information on healthy food choices, physical activity and on the Fuel Up to Play 60 Program. We handed out frozen gogurts and had spike ball games set up for kids and families to play together! Robert Frost students were also encouraged to sign the large Fuel Up to Play 60 banner that we had on the playground to show support for the program. This banner is hanging in our hallway to remind students and staff that we are a Fuel Up to Play 60 school!

How did students and adults work together as a team?

We invited our new Wellness Council students to come to the booth and hand out gogurts, play spikeball and get others involved! They are leaders of the program in our school so when other kids see their excitement, they want to be part of it!
