For the third year in a row, students at West Dodge Station Elementary raised funds for the local Food Bank for the Heartland Pints to Gallons Coin Drive. Our school community repeatedly rises to the occasion when it comes to helping others. This year we raised $2,941.56!   Our students are especially proud of this achievement because they know the impact that it has on families within their own community.

What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?

We had a snow day during the middle of our coin drive so we had to really promote it the last 2 days to raise awareness of what we were trying to accomplish. The students and families responded well and we raised well over $1,000 the last 2 days of the drive.
