Westchester Garden to Table
Students are learning about the benefits of including fresh veggies and fruits in their diets. Using our garden, students made fresh basil pesto and grilled veggies to make a delicious pasta. Adding fruit with garden peppers, students made a fresh fruit salsa as well as a green sauce. The benefits of gardening encourages students to learn more about how veggies and herbs are grown and encourages them to try new veggies in a variety of recipes.

What improvements have you seen at your school?

The SA team plans taste tests for students as they introduce them to new foods such as veggies and fruits. They have also created several unique recipes using yogurt and fresh veggies so they learn about preparing snacks at home
