Over the course of the fall season, 29 Westside Intermediate cross country runners took part in weekly before-school practices and eventually got to compete in two different one-mile races with another intermediate school in the county!

How did you accomplish your goals?

Each participant took a one-mile pre-test. This gave them some baseline data to formulate a goal for themselves for the season. Weekly workouts helped to improve their cardiorespiratory endurance and confidence. The average improvement for one mile was 45 seconds!
