Here at Westwood Elementary we have really been working on making sure classes are taking Brain Breaks throughout the day. My appointed Westwood Fuel Up to Play 60 Ambassadors, for the second year in a row, have made their first of 3 videos for this year. We incorporated some help from a parent who teaches Jazzercise. The kids have fun putting the moves together and picking a song to move with. The classrooms are encouraged to follow along or just get up and Move to the music!!!

How did students and adults work together as a team?

The kids wanted to do something a little different this year by incorporating some dance moves in their video. We have a parent here who teaches Jazzercise, so the kids wrote her a letter and asked if she would help them out.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

The teachers will continue to show and promote the videos that we make thru out the year. Since we make 3 of them a year, it gives the educators a variety to choose from.
