We were able to hold a veggie taste test to find out if students preferred broccoli or cauliflower. It turns out broccoli won. Our SHAQ team helped prepare the food and our SWAT team handed out the food to classrooms. We held a vote and hung up the results in our cafeteria. This was all part of our schools second Wellness Week for the 18-19 school year.

How did you accomplish your goals?

We were able to accomplish our goal by working together with our food service department to get the samples.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

The adults were the ones who prepared the food and the students were the ones to hand out the samples to each K-5 class.

What improvements have you seen at your school?

Students have been more open to trying new foods since we started doing taste tests here at Maldonado.
