Wildcat Walking Club
Monday to Friday from 4:00 to 5:30 pm, grades K-8 participate in an indoor/outdoor walking program. The students use pedometers and charts to keep track of there steps and distance. This is part of an after school program activity. It is a very fun and creative way to get these kids to get up and get moving after a long day. At the end of the week, the students log into there Fuel Up To Play 60 dashboards and select plays that they have completed either at home or at school. This program has been very rewarding for the students and I plan to continue to use Fuel Up To Play 60 in our after-school program.

How did you accomplish your goals?

We printed charts for the kids to keep track of their progress. Steps and distance. During winter we will walk inside the school building and when its nice outside we will walk our schools walking trail.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

The students share thoughts and ideas when we are in the computer lab. When they are logged into their dashboards, they read plays together and team up to figure out plays that they can do together
