Woonsocket Community Kickoff!
We held a Family Fun Night in our gym. We had the PTA help with snack donations. We had a "healthy snack walk" instead of a cake walk. We had the National Guard bring a giant inflatable obstacle course. We also had our FUTP 60 team help make two different kinds of healthy smoothies to have the community taste test. We also brought in a local dairy farmer to see how much of an impact the program has been at our school and she also talked about her daily life on the dairy farm. The middle school students presented their health fair projects to the community as well. There was a lot of people there and fun was had by all!

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

We are planning to have a smoothie day once a week with the flavor that was picked by the community. We will also have different flavors tested out throughout the school year.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

My student team helped plan and implement many of the activities at the school. They made all of the posters, they made the announcements throughout the weeks prior, and they also helped find donations for the healthy snack walk.
