We have a 5th grade teacher who asked if I wanted to have her husband and friends work with all 650 of our students and teach them Yoga, namely the 10 steps of The Rising Sun. I scheduled 2 days and multiple classes for them to come out and show our students the benefits of Yoga. The students thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful warm up, the yoga and the games the volunteers played with our students. It was a highly successful day and the students admitted their enthusiasm for the day.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

The adults were the leaders, organized and taught the event, and the students fully participated. I acted as an aide in making certain our students showed proper manners.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

I intended to include some of the games and warm ups as I continue throughout the year.

What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?

The biggest challenge was setting up classes, as 5 classes would have been too large. I scheduled 2 classes one day and 3 the following.
